I'm back, and I speedeth downloadeth Romeo & Juliet and I can only say one thing after watching it:

Yes, you read correctly. I did say I FEEL CHEATED!!! This whole time I was really under the impression that R&J will be a traaaaaagic love story and I was bracing myself for a tearjerking movie... I SHOULD'VE KNOWN THAT THE THINGIES ON JURI'S HAND WERE RAMUNE CANDY INSTEAD OF CYANIDE PILLS OF SOME SORT!!! =D=D=D DUDE!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN DIE A TRAGIC DEATH!!! THEY ACTUALLY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER (or at least it seems that they will)!!! AND THE WHOLE LOVE STORY WAS NOWHERE NEAR ANGSTY BUT MORE HOVERING ON THE BORDERLINE OF CUTE AND HIPPITY HOPPITY!!!!! I'VE BEEN HAD!!! WHAT IS SO ROMEO & JULIET ABOUT IT!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Wait, I didn't pay money to watch... but you get my gist!!! XDDDDD

Oh don't get me wrong though, I LOVE IT!!! Well, not exactly putting it on repeat yet, but I do know that I do like it! I love the Takisawami chemistry, I must say that I think Masami-chan is prooooobably gonna win her nomination as my favorite Takki's Leading Lady award :v-bling: She actually *IS* those annoying high-pitched squeaky coquettish-overdose Japanese girls but the Hiromichi x Juri scenes really CRACK . ME . UP!!! Especially the scene when she returned to the church and found him sitting there, and she just kinda strutted over innocently to *cough* get his attention LOL and when he looked up, there was that "........." silence and then Juri suddenly let out this nervous sheepish giggle OMG THE GIRL CAN REALLY MAKE ME LAUGH LOLOLOLOL and Hiromichi's face was soooo like "WTF is this crazy chick doing!!?" XDDDDDDDD

Hiromichi: Nani yatteru no? (What are you doing?)
Juri: Ee... (PAUSE) ...tatteru no! (Ee... standing!)
Hiromichi: ...
Juri: Sochi wa...? (and you...?)
Hiromichi: Ore? (PAUSE) ...suwatteru. (Me...? Sitting.)

I think that has got to be one of the simplest yet cutest and yet uncheesiest lines between star-crossed lovers ever, and I really can't pick whether that was my favorite scene, or the window scene, which I think is :v-beat: DEATHLY ROMANTIC :v-beat:

Juri: Nani shiteru no... hito no uchi no mae de? (What are you doing in front of someone's house?)
Hiromichi: Sagashiteru no. (I'm looking [for someone].)
Juri: Dare wo...? (...for who?)
Hiromichi: Kanojyo. (My girlfriend.)

[intermission]

BWAHHHHH!!!! :v-beat::v-beat::v-beat::v-beat::v-beat:

[/intermission]

Juri: Donna ko? Ii onna? (What is she like? A good girl?)
Hiromichi: Hmmmm... manma kana? (Hmmmm... just so-so I guess?)
Juri: (giggles)
Hiromichi: Sochi koso, sonna tokoro nani yatteruno? (What about you, what are you doing over there?)
Juri: Matteru no. (I'm waiting.)
Hiromichi: Dare wo...? (...for who?)
Juri: Kare wo. (My boyfriend.)
Hiromichi: Hmmm... kuru no? (Hmmm... did he come?)
Juri: Kuru yo. Donna koto ga attatte, dareni jyamasaretatte, kitekureru. Souiu hito da mon. (Yes he did. He said no matter what happens, or whoever he might be intruding on, he'll definitely come. Because he's just that kind of a person.)

*DIES*

That's gotta be the most uncheesy cheesy under-the-window-flirting I've ever heard!!! XDDDD I LOVE that scene!!!!! :v-heart:

What I don't like is the whole crazy crap going on with the parents though. It suddenly takes away the "Romeo & Juliet"-ness from Hiromichi & Juri and suddenly apparently Juri's dad and Hiromichi's mom WAS the Romeo & Juliet 20 years ago!???! LIKE WTF??? And even though I wasn't particularly interested in what goes on in the church between Hiromichi, his dad and Juri's dad, but Takki sure showed some serious acting chops in that church scene! Dude, when he roared that "KOTAERU YO!!!!!" at his father, seriously, if a baby had been present, he would've scared and scarred the baby for life!!! :v-skull:

I just really like how innocent and pure the romance is between them, where they had to put their relationship on hiatus due to Hiromichi's dad's trial, and yet they both patiently waited until the day they could be together again. It was incredibly AND DEATHLY sweet and it makes me wanna squish them both like my new stuffed baby pooh doll! :v-beat::v-beat::v-beat: Seriously, the art of innocent romance is truly lost in this day and age, we hardly see any love stories that is incredibly romantic without having to involve an extensive scene of face sucking and skin skin skin! I've personally become extremely jaded with the skepticism of this world that I find it extremely hard to believe that such a well-off girl could actually really fall in love with a recycled junk collector boy driving such a junky truck filled with piles of junky junk!!! It really is a sad, sad world we live in now. To be honest, I would NEVER fall in love with a garbage collector boy driving a junky junk truck EVEN THOUGH HE LOOKS LIKE TAKKI!!! BECAUSE HE ISN'T TAKKI! ...unless he really IS Takki, like by some impossible alternate universe misfortune he one day got dethroned from his pop idol reign and really becomes a garbage man driving a junky truck, THEN it's a different story HA HA HA. OMG KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!! :v-jdig::v-jdig::v-jdig:

Well, the whole drama could've been done better though, although the story still seemed kind of shallow and not substantial enough for me, but at least it's better than Chichi no umi boku no sora's deathly FLAT plot XDDDDD

...OH! P.S.!!! WHEN I ASKED FOR TAKKI IN A MODERN DAY DRAMA SO I COULD SEE HIM IN MODERN DAY CLOTHING I ALSO MEANT THAT I WANT HIM TO HAVE A CHANGE OF COSTUME PLEASE!!!!!! *CRIES* NOT IN THAT BLUE GARBAGE COLLECTOR BOY PANTS THE WHOLE ENTIRE DORAMA YEAR!!!! x( Oh well, you can't win 'em all, can you???

Onaji yo Nere! I loved the dialogue for those two scenes too (probably also coz they are the only ones I could understand~)

And I am SUPERimpressed with Juli.
She seems to be going everywhere on foot (and sometimes BAREFOOTED) and yet she can keep up with Hiromichi in his pickup~~ XD

ROFL YES YES!!! I was like WHAAAA when she suddenly appeared out of nowhere only mere MOMENTS after hiromichi sat his ass down at that ramen shop!!!! That is what I call DETERMINATION... DETERMINATION TO SNAG A GUY!!! then again it's takki... can't blame her... lol...

the ramen shop part was super cute too... when she asked his name and he ignored her and placed his order for MISO RAMEN LOLOLOL... and she's like, ur name is miso ramen? LOL and the whole bickering about the chopsticks IS TOO CUTE!!!! XD

First time here.You have a nice site. I watched it and liked it although the story is ho-hum. I'll take anything with Takki in it. But Takki's deep voice is resonating more and more and his shouting scene at his dad was good (probably the only scene that was seriously acting in the whole show and worth noting because he has really grown up.)

the dorama sp dragged on a little, but it wasnt too bad i guess.. (btw what kinda name is hiromichi o_O)

sorta reminded me of taiyou no kisetsu.. gah...... god i loved that dorama..... up until now its still probably one of the favourite doramas...ok... now i got to go watch it again lol

its been a while since taki had a dorama (that i know of) lol.. and youre right... taki was wearing those damn overall pretty much the whole time!... oh, wait no, he did wear a jacket that couldve sheltered a family of 5 in some poor country!

Yeah.....I was fooled too..........but its good that they had a good ending......unlike the original Romeo and Juliet. I like the scenes where they are always together collecting some junks and the kissing scene at the beach of course..( I find it too soon though)....Ha...ha...ha....
