I think it finally hit me hard today that Yoshitsune is really, really over
One whole year I was commuting back and forth between my downtown apartment and my suburbian home to set my VCR (I get free NHK in my downtown apartment coz its 90% Japanese residents) experiencing botches now and then where I have to re-set my recording for the rerun... and now it's reeeally gonna feel weird that I don't have to do that again, and my concierge is probably gonna miss me coz he won't get my weekly dash-in-dash-out visits anymore 
And previously my bawl-o-rama record was held by Kimutaku's 「空から降る一億の星」, but that record was broken by Yoshitsune *LOL* 
OMFGWTF never cried so much in one episode, and it doesn't help that I watched it last night at 2 AM in the morning and ended up with a huge headache the next morning 
Ahhhh and I should've watched that NHK Saturday Studio Park live interview clip before I watched Yoshitsune because Takki's message to the audience was to bring a towel BATHTOWEL to watch Yoshi (for the flood of tears) and OMG HOW TRUE!!!! 
No, I didn't bring a bathtowel with me so I ended up with more blotches on my Mogu 
That was really sad though... I think I cried the most when Saburou made that crabby kani face like a little kid to his Yoshitsune-sama Aaaaaaa... and Kisanta... Jirou's gory death... and that split second moment when Yoshitsune and Benkei only exchanged few words and said goodbye with their eyes I can almost hear it in English... "It was an honor serving you, sir!" 
But I do have one small complaint about Yoshitsune's death scene though -.- WTF was that white light exploding through the roof thingy! THAT WAS REALLY CHEESY... and ALMOST DESTROYED MY BAWL-O-RAMA MARATHON coz I almost BURST OUT LAUGHING!!! *thud* And the white stallion in the sky.... OMG thud... *complains complains* ahhh OK, the white stallion I can tolerate, but shouldn't Yoshitsune-sama ASCEND to heaven a little more gracefully rather than EXPLODE THROUGH THE ROOF like that? o_O;;;
But all in all, twas a good year 
And Yoshitsune's last episode ended very well too. I liked the way they showed a vision of young Shanaou running through the forests of Kurama mountain, a place where he grew up~ 
ahhh it's like, Yoshitsune's spirit never really left the places and the people he loved 
Otsukaresama, Yoshitsune-sama, and see you in Osaka!

My semi BAWL-O-RAMA was destroyed by the scene when BENKEI-san was standing there arrow shots after another. The one particular shot which was a bit dim and you can see BENKEI-san reacting to the arrow shots like O_O in pain. Looks like they had a cardboard BENKEI body and BENKEI was only asked to stand behind it. It was really funny haha well, atleast for me, it is
Kimutaku's 空から降る一億の星 also made me cry. The story is full of twists and it is my favorite Kimutaku dorama coz aside from the nice plot, he's undeniably so sexy on that one and Kimutaku's RYO reminded me so much of Tackey's TATSUYA. Evilness with a purpose XDDD

12/15/2005 @ 09:40 12/15/2005 @ 10:36i think everyone had their bawl-o-rama session while watching this.. cause i had too but still "Hotaru no Haka" or "Grave of the Fireflies" bawl-o-rama still can beat it tho... ^^; anyways... i really bawled most as well when Saborou did the crab-face thing to Yoshitsune-sama... damn!!! reminding that scene again is making me teary-eye as of now... im not kidding... *think of happy thoughts* i shouldnt cry cause im in a public place as of now... XD shouldnt...
and i as well didnt get when Yoshitsune died and something exploded... and i was like [0.o] cause what's all with it... and they shouldnt have done it... and i was actually asking my sister if Benkei really did die standing... and like never falling off the ground... like died standing... ^^;
and i agree with what u said regarding the very last part... that was the first thing i saw cause i was out and upon seeing that i was already crying...
all in all, i love the ending...

Benkei died protecting Yoshitsune... he was so big and sturdy that he was still standing despite hit by hundreds of arrows like that and he really did die standing!!!! With his eyes open!!! SUGOI NE--- BENKEI!!!!!! T.T
Yoshitsune's scene was indeed DRAMATIC, it was MOST DRAMATIC I agree, and I bawled so much there too ... ONLY BEFORE THE EXPLOSION HAPPENED and I was like, eh?! LOL XD hahahaha... but leading to that... when Yoshi was all teary-eyed... and Benkei went inside, and he was all teary-eyed too because they both know this is their last moments... AHHHHHHH THAT WAS SOOOO SAD... and Yoshitsune envisioned that gold screen that belonged to Kiyomori... the screen he scribbled on when he was a kid... and he sees his dream flashed before his eyes, but he never achieved this "new world" that he always dreamed of... *SIGH*.... it's so tragic... he's such a great man, and he ended so tragically by BETRAYAL...! I can't believe that SCUM BROTHER had the audacity to actually CRY in the end! WTF! (but then again, who wouldn't, if you reminisce on that HAMTARO-YOSHI FACE?) XD LOL XD
Great ending... definitely! Now *I* wanna go to Kurama and see his ghost hopping around! (LOL---I'm ignoring the fact that it won't be a TAKKI-FORM hopping about in the mountains!) XD LOL!!!!!!!

The guy who played Benkei was really cool...I don't know if it was me reading too much into his face, but it was as though, once he heard the explosion, he felt it was all right to die, since Yoshitsune had been able to commit harakiri and avoid being captured and beheaded like a criminal. You could almost see the life fading from his eyes, and that was so cool a moment!
As for Yoritomo. ::huffs:: Well, actually, I think the rift between him and Yoshitsune was Masako's fault. Frigging ambitious missis did everything she could to keep them apart, you could see it in her face when she realized Yoshitsune was not only popular, but that Yoritomo was almost content to be in his younger brother's shadow. ::whacks bad Masako:: Plus, it was her idea to visit all that misery on Shizuka in the first place, wasn't it? So I'm glad Yoritomo cried...it shows he still remembered the happy days when little Shanao called him "ani-ue"...::sniffle::
